Each of the calendar pages includes a small piece of "super-deformed" (SD) or "mascot" art by Dokite Mayumi, a few of which may require explanation; 3 March is Girls' Day; the Japanese school year begins in April (so K'n'Y are wearing their names in hiragana pinned to their school-clothes); 5 May is Childrens' Day, originally Boys' Day (the Angels are wearing origami samurai helmets [kabuto], Kei is carrying a toy thunder-drum, and Yuri is holding a koinobori, a wind streamer decorated as a carp); the rainy season in Japan [tsuyu] comes during June; and October is a big month for outdoor sports
